Finn Balor is a professional wrestler who has been active for over a decade. He is known for his high-flying style and charismatic persona, which helped him become one of the most popular superstars in WWE history.
Balor was born in 1984, in Bray, Ireland. He started training at WrestleMania XIX when he was 18 years old. He made his debut in WWE on August 28, 2002, at SummerSlam against Kurt Angle. The match ended with a submission by Balor and he became a main eventer soon after that. He also competed against Angle at No Mercy 2003 but lost via disqualification when Angle attacked him before the match even started.
He continued to be one of the top stars of WWE until 2005 when he had to undergo shoulder surgery due to an 4 weeks for everybody sample workout injury sustained during a match against Chris Benoit for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 21 (2005). After recovering from surgery, Balor won the Intercontinental Championship from Shelton Benjamin at Backlash 2005 but failed to retain it later that year at Judgment Day against Benoit again.
In 2006, Balor began feuding with Edge over the World Heavyweight Championship. He also feuded with John Cena after losing to him in a match at SummerSlam (2006). Later that year, Balor won the WWE Intercontinental Championship for the second time after defeating Shelton Benjamin in a ladder match at No Mercy (2006). He lost it to Edge on the December 6, 2006 episode of SmackDown!
